Presentation...Suitable Clothing?

So I have to give a presentation, on a disease as part of my uni assignment, and I have been told I need to wear suitable clothing.

What do you think they mean by suitable clothing, as in smart professional clothing?

Also do you think I am likely to be marked on my appearance and what I am wearing? (I think I might be as it's sort of preparing me for presentations I might be giving in my career...)

If it's a preparation for your future career-kinda thing, you'll definitely, albeit possibly indirectly, be marked for clothes.

I usually go for casual stuff; a Blouse/button-up shirt with a gilet over it (This image was made as a joke, but you get the idea), is received well whenever I go on (semi-)professional meetings or presentations.

Not exactly sure about the English words; you can see what I mean in my pic.

On a serious note tho, Anything clean & casual, nothing obviously too bright, suiting up is an option but it will look waay to overoard if it's just for a simple presetation, so something that looks gentle on the eyes bu tnot too overblown,

PS: Read that back , i think they just mean, don't wear anything flashy or to casual, so avoid Baggy/tight jeans & Tee's of anykind wear an obviously good shirt with a respectable patern on it, i'd recommend blue since there'e quite a bit psychological leverage behind it, noting too redish or too light for color.

Details separate people.

Would something like this be suitable to wear since I have a shirt tie and jumper?

Wear a GPU Necklace

Haha, I have a spear ATI HD 2400 pro passive cooling lying around xD

How big is your audience?

If it's just a tutorial group or a seminar group of like 10 - 20 then just go smart casual.

It's around 10 people or so :)

Looks cool, But just an opinion disregard this if you will, imo it looks waay too covered up, loose the tee , maybe a light jacket just to show the tie & collar.. also skinny tie is prefered by most (especially girls)

Smart casual then, I'd say.

Also, surely your fellow tutorial participants have done a presentation already given how late in the semester it is? Shouldn't you know what to wear from that?

Nah, not on our own, we did a group presentation in the first year but this is the 2nd year and it's to be done on your own :S

I'm not sure you got what I meant. I'm asking if in your tutorial class other people have already done their presentations? It's December now, surely some people have? This past week was the last of the semester for me, now breaking off for exam revision.

Depends on the location. If it is taking place in frozen tundra: a parka. Chernobyl? An anti radiation suit. On a float in a gay pride parade? idk a banana hammock and rainbow suspenders I guess.

Hope this helps.

Rest in peace, legend.
