Far Cry 4 V-Sync ON?

DavidBardock

Hey does anyone uses V-Sync in FC4? Because i just try it my self and it looks like with V-Sync there is less annoying stuttering or i'm just making it up to feel that game runs smoother?

For me with vsync on the fps drops from 60 to 55.

V-Sync generally helps remove screen tearing when coupled with tripple buffer enabled (I think), and usually results in a smooth game play.

Yes, V-Sync always removes screen tearing but tripple buffered also allowes the display and GPU to run at different refresh rates the disadvantage is micro stuttering.

V-sync helps remove image tearing, however it does indeed as @.spider. says cause micro stuttering. It also causes input lag.

Vsync + triple buffer is what every1 should be using.

I can't stand that, I get motion sickness from these alternating frametimes.

If the Game isn't fluctuating around 50-60fps and 90% at 60fps I have to use double buffered vsync.

Nevertheless without vsync its even worse couldn't play just a minute.
