It doesn't charge when you use it which is a shame but i guess it's better than nothing.

i guess they just need a way to give it more juice. I would really like to see a mouse that can charge while you use it and be used for a continuous 24 hours just so we can have it.

Why are we not funding this?!?!

I know right! I would like Logitech or Corsair to make this.

It's probably limited with current battery tech, charging the battery constantly doesn't sound like a good idea for longevity. Hopefully we get batteries which can handle all those charge cycles it will inevitably get.

If it already exists I want it to come to market because i've never seen this before.

Also, I just remembered this exists:

https://www.wacom.asia/en/intuos5/wacom-five-button-mouse

PowerByProxi makes wirelessly chargeable AA batteries that can be used for that purpose too.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

Well if ti comes to it I'm sure they could just put a very large capacitor inside that can hold a charge long enough that so if you life the mouse off for a few seconds it wont die. Obviously theres going to be some limitations but i would like to see someone at least try. there will always be growing pains with early technologies.

No. Once you have a patent on the idea, companies can either pay you to use the idea or just buy the idea altogether.

Companies paying to use your idea would be something like "per every keyboard manufactured, you get $5".

I don't think you can patent an idea. I know you can patent an invention though.

From my understanding the idea is the first step, lets say you scrape together $1000 to get a blue print/ design of the product, then make a basic prototype. Then you should be able to patent that.

That being said I'm no lawyer or IP expert.

Wireless mouse with wireless charging and a mousepad that has a wireless charger built in.

Just solved the "my wireless mouse just died because I didn't charge it" problem.

Didn't someone already show this off? I'm pretty sure Mionix was working on it. There's a pad with an induction charging dealie that acts as a hard mouse surface

I have one that date back from like 2005. It was a graphic tablet that you normally use with a "pen" but they also included a mouse without any kind of battery in it and worked only on the pad.

Just like this :

To use with wacom graphic tablets.

Sorry but already exist.

Personally I use my G700S wireless all day and by the end of the day its nearly dead and I have forgotten to plug it in so I thought hey if my mousepad was a charging base and my mouse could charge from it I would never have to plug it in again. If someoen actually brought this idea to market i bet people would be all over it.

If it could be implemented into current wireless mice as an addon. Otherwise you'd need a new mouse. At that point, just get wired.

Why does everyone hate wires so much :(

because wires suck, dont you wish everything just magically worked without wires? imagine everything charing wireless so you never have to plug anything in, and everything connects wirelessly

would be fantastic

It's possible with qi wireless charging, however your mouse would pretty hot. It's also not a good idea to leave devices on inductive charging ("wireless") for longer than it should. Still, a good idea, but there are some problems.

I might be wrong.

Only because thats is the way things are, I find wires annoying, you have to make sure you carry the correct ones, some only work in certain things, they take up space, you trip over them, you lose them, they break

its an experience but generally always a negative one

I would definitely buy this if it was from Logitech, I could imagine a decent sided pad that can also charge your phone, possibly with USB ports in the back.
