Should i use my velvet ear pads?

What are then benefits to using them? i have HyperX clouds and and using the REAL leather ones that come with it and i like them, but people seem to be always saying that velvet/micro fiber style par pads are nicer.

Alcantara pads cost 1/2 as much as the headphones themselves... As nice as they are, there's little value in buying $40 pads for $80 headphones.

Try the velvet ones. They can be more comfortable and breathable to some. If you don't like them, just go back to leather. It's all personal preference.

Try the velvet ones. They can be more comfortable and breathable to some. If you don't like them, just go back to leather. It's all personal preference.

actually, the clouds are real leather. but i tried the velvet ones, EWWWW... Everything is quieter, bass is out the window, and i can hear my gpu fan spin up now.

Leather generally has a more tight seal. Also no their not real leather......

Leather /pleather pads usually have a better seal, resulting in improved bass and better isolation from outside noise.

But velour usually has a tiny bit more treble, less isolation and less bass.

It says "leatherette" for me on the website, I could very well be wrong but that's what it says for me.

I have a black forest cake and a tiramisu cake in front of me. I like the tiramisu more, but people seems to prefer black forest more, so which one should I eat? Should I eat the black forest instead?

 

Anything strange with that question? If you already have a preference, why give a rat's ass to what other people prefer? It's your tongue, or in this context, your ears, not theirs, so who cares what other people prefer. It's what you prefer that matters.
