Have you ever been to a LAN Party?

CaptainKoda

Counter-Strike players unite!

I also had a LAN party for the original starcraft. It was fun, despite none of us being really good at all.

I had some people in my kitchen with laptops ad-hocced to my laptop playing the original Halo when I was at uni, so no since there wasn't really a LAN involved but that really is a technicality :P

If you count a LAN party as a time when during school someone hosted a minecraft server on the schools internet.

Because he had a hard drive.

Once. It was a Starcraft Tournament. Me and my friends were addicted to Starcraft, but after that, we all stopped playing. :/

Yes. Hosted one for my Youth Group. Since only 5 of the 10 people that came had good computers we were forced to play low spec/old games. Rockin' some digital paintball haha. Tried civ 4 but no one liked it sadly. We also broke out some controllers and played some n64 on the projector.

LAN parties for the most part are not even about the games anymore ... It turns into a big ego thing with people just flashing off and trying to one up each other on the hardware they are running.

Hosted a lan party a while back. about 8 people overall.

Haven't been to another lan party though.

Most of the games we wanted to play didn't work out as we wanted them to, so we ended up playing counterstrike source in the end (completely unplanned game).
