I've been a fan of the Codemasters racing games, namely the Dirt and Grid series. Grid 2 is part of the current Humble Bundle, so without a doubt that's worth picking up.

Burnout Paradise was also a great PC racing game. It's about as arcade-y as they come, though.

Definitely Need for Speed. Formula 1 (don't know which one) was interesting too.

just be sure to have a controller, they play better that way :P

If u consider the grid series - don't bother with number 2, get first or auto sport.

The racing games I'm generally playing are:

  1. Project CARS
  2. Assetto Corsa
  3. GRID Autosport
  4. iRacing
  5. F1 2013

I guess I'm a bit of a simulation fan though GRID and F1 2013 are more like Simcades.

I would have posted the same, but would have added Dirt 3.
