Laptop Secondary HDD help

So I was thinking of getting a secordary HDD for a new laptop that I'll be buying soon, It will have it's OS on a m.2 SSD, but I'm wondering what would be best for a secondary drive.

 

Thinking of the HGST Travelstar 7K1000 as it's the only 1TB 7200rpm drive for laptops that I know of. Has anyone heard of it or have any other suggestions?

The secondary drive will be for game storage and video file storage, but will be accessed frequently and files will be moving to and from it frequently as well.

That seems to be a SATA 2 drive, will that make much of a difference compared to SATA 3 for a HDD (I'm thinking no, but unsure). I am also seeing the Seagate Momentus XT which seems to be the Hybrid drive you are talking about. I haven't looked much into hybrid drives at all, how do they compare? Would it at all be worth the $40 increase in price?

SATA 2 hard drives are fine, since they don't saturate the speed limit. I don't have an SSD, just a SSHD, and that large cache helps speeds, but it's nothing like a pure SSD. It's a good compromise.

How about this Seagate 1TB Solid State Hybrid Drive SATA 6Gbps it should be fast enough for storing and play games and storing some 1080p videos and playback.
