Graphics Card to 60$ For Gaming

Hey guys,i wanna buy a graphics card so i can play games like GTA IV with some graphics mods,as well as GTA San Andreas with enchancment mods.I already have the game modded, but it lags very much even with low enchancment mod graphics, cuz i have a pretty shit PC.

Here are the specs:

#GPU - Nvidia GT520 1GB DDR3

#CPU - Intel Pentium D 3.4GHz

#RAM - 4GB (3.5 Usable)

#OS - Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

When i want to play games like FIFA 14,GTA IV so on it lags SO MUCH even on low graphics.I cleaned the PC completely,i used CCleaner, deleted temp files, set my windows to best performance, cleaned the memory manually, disabled any programs from starting when Windows starts, added virtual RAM,launching games with Razer Cortex game booster, setting affinity to high when launching games, used antiviruses, etc etc etc I also re-installed my Windows  3 times this year,bt after a while it always gets slow.So i  think i should buy new components. Now for the graphics card,i wanna know a pretty solid "Gaming" graphics card so i can play games like GTA IV on low and GTA San Andreas on Very High with graphics mods. Those are the only games i play at the moment, but i can play them only on 10-20 FPS on low on these specs.I don't really know what to do.I don't have enough money to afford anything more expensive so I'm trying to make it this way out.At least to play 'em at 30-40 FPS. -_-

Thank you for your attention!  ;)  :D

Solid gaming graphics cards start at around $100-$120, like the R7 260X.

Don't bother with a GPU that costs less than $100 or so, any below that and its just wasting your money.

I'd suggest a r9 270, or GTX 750 ti.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

The best graphics card you can get for 60 bucks is the Powercolor R7 250 And it is actually fairly good for gaming But you wont have Amazing graphics or anything But it is better than your current graphics card.

Sorry m8, but the reason it lags is cause your PC is trash. Save up and get a 960 and fx6300.

Get the best FX AMD cpu you can get for $100 in your stores, and the 750 will be alright, but for your budget go AMD. If you can afford it, go 260X or 270

I would save up some money and build a new PC.

Trust me it will be worth it.

If your on a budget you should look at the AMD Athlon X4 860K or even a FX 6300 would be better if your budget allows you to get it.

The gtx 750 is almost twice as powerful as the most powerful graphicscard you can get for 60 bucks, The R7 250 from Powercolor on Newegg.

It would be worth it But you will probably be bottlenecked by your CPU.

If you want to retire your current build in a year or three and build a complete new rig you should buy the r7 250 to keep your rig going.

But If you want to upgrade the rig in a year or three you should buy the gtx 750 and after that upgrade your CPU to a Intel Core2Extreme X6800, Intel Core2Duo E6700 or Intel Core2Duo E6600(Those three CPU's should fit But i dont think you can get any of them new anymore).

Alright, thanks guys for the help! I think the best choice is to buy Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 1GB for 100$ and then buy AMD FX6300 3.8 GHz for 100$ and please suggest the cheapes Motherboard that can support both of these.I think that is the best choice for mid-end gaming :D And i hope i could play games like Gta IV FIFA 14 etc on low at 30FPS or so.And is it necessary to upgrade to 8GB RAM or should i just stick to 4GB cuz as i said i'm not fanstasying about some high-end games, just some reglular games so i could play without lag :)

Try to look to used gpu, that seems to be in good conditions. I've got the same problems that you have and I bought a used GT 630, and it works.... like trash, but better than intel hd graphics.

Simply try to aim to used GTX750 (in case that you can't afford new) or r7 260.

The CPU will be bottlenecking gpu hard, so when you get money again, upgrade motherboard and cpu. ($150)

Look at AMD CPUs, they are cheaper than Intel and are really good at entry levels.

Check this:

Motherboard: Biostar A58MD Ver. 6.x Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard  ($41.36 @ Mwave)
Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 750 1GB Video Card  ($89.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $201.54
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

There is one problem with building a rig with a 760k/860k, There is No upgrade path for the CPU so when the CPU starts lacking he will have to buy both a new motherboard and a CPU So in the long run it will become more expensive.

Waiting a while longer and buying a AM3+ motherboard and a FX 4300(Which is quite on pair with the 760k) would give a clear upgrade path to the 6300, 8320 and even the 9590.

Besides, AMD and Intel is pretty well matched at low and mid so it is mainly up to preference.

Used cards you can afford: GTX 460,470,480. GTX 260

Ati 5770,

You´ll probably need a new psu for all the nvidia cards, 50$+

I would recommend you to save your money, and buy a power saving card with newer technology and low gpu heat production.

Try thinking of an complete system upgrade, you probably can keep your case and hdd. Used parts are really cheap, especially amd products.

But he doesn't have money to spend on, so I think the cheaper option is clearly the winner. He is "gaming" with pentium D and gt 520, so he will use the new pc for almost 3-4 years without upgrading, and in this time, newer (and better) chips will be there. Take in mind that his parents will put the money, so he need to see all the options and see what he can afford.

Also, OP can start selling lemonade at the street and save up for a new pc.  :D

Id say trawl through some forums or classifides and find a second hand gpu. Its amazing what you can find. You could probably pick up a used 570 which would be perfect
