No, but that is good only for gaming and stuff like this, and latest games take advantages form having 4 cores...

rig: i7 4770k @4.1Ghz (delidded), Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600Mhz, ROG Maximus VI Hero, Noctua NH-D14, EVGA GTX980SC, Samsung 850 EVO 500GB, Corsair SF600, self-built wooden Case, CoolerMaster QuickFire TK, Logitech G502, Blue Yeti, BenQ GW2760HS

I wouldn't get a 63€ CPU with a 115€ motherboard; I would get a cheaper motherboard with a more expensive CPU or just a cheaper motherboard.

no it wont but it will not be good for multithreaded workloads so i would recomend upgrading to an broadwelli5 in the future also a r9 290 is better in that price point or 780/970

Please follow your topics guys, it's very important! CoC F.A.Q  Please use the corresponding PC part picker link for your country USA, UK, Canada, AustraliaSpain, Italy, New Zealand and Germany

also if you find anyone with this handle in games its most likely me so say hi

No, but unless you already have a 770 don't even consider one. Get an R9 290 or a 970 if it's not much more expensive.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

yes in many games the pentium is having a hard time keeping up with a GPU such as the GTX770 i'd highly suggest you get something like this instead, that way you can play all the modern games including watchdogs and the latest call of duty (that won't even launch on the pentium)

...today i'm disabling hyper-threading and shut down 2 cores to get myself one of these pentium (albeit with 8mb of cache) and show the world how poor they are in many games...i'll clock the thing to 4.5ghz cause everybody assume that all those chips will be stable at 4.5ghz in the hands of anybody...i'll show GPU usage in more modern demanding games and ask again: DOes it bottleneck?!)

Anyways i've tested both already and this is a much better all around CPU that plays anything well, this one has hyper-threading and can process 4 strings of instructions at a time and MANY games happens to like that nowadays:

If possible just let go of the ''big air cooler'' and upgrade to this:

here, i just canned a quick section of dead rising 3 on a 4.5ghz dual core haswell CPU just for you, see how the GPU load is all over the place and the game keeps stuttering like hell?

That's what happen when you run modern games with an underpowered CPU, it's unplayable, not only does the GPU won't output the frames that it should, but the game is stuttering and taking pauses

all the time and it's unplayable, and believe me this is the first game i test this morning but MANY games does that on it and some are even way worse that that...this chip is not a good gaming CPU.

And BTW the recording was done with shadowplay on medidum settings (this recording is done using ressources from the GPU, so the GPU load would in fact be even lower without recording) it won't

affect CPU performance one bit:

...and BTW uploading the video to youtube takes ages on this...
