3 Monitor Set-up help w/ XFX Radeon 7850

I am trying to set up 3 monitors on my XFX Radeon 1GB 7850. The card has 2xmDP, 1xHDMI, 2xDVi. I am using 3 HDMI monitors that all have HDMI inputs and I am using the HDMI and the 2xmDP outputs off of the card with mDP to HDMI cords. I am unable to get the third monitor enabled. My PC recognizes it but, it can't be enabled. I've read on a few other sites that I need an Active mDP adapter but, this was always when people were running HDMI, DVI. I want to make sure this is what I need if I'm trying to run HDMI/2xmDP setup.

same here with my 7950 :/

I think we need one of those active mDP adapters I just want to make sure before I spend 25 - 30 $ on one.

You need an active adapter for any more than 2 monitors.
