I like nvidia vs AMD, it's quite balanced and is very competitive. IMHO the Windows v Mac | iOS v Android | Intel v AMD etc ones all have some semi-clear winners. Intel way beats AMD at performance CPUs but in the GPU arena nvidia and AMD are still quite on-par with similarly priced parts on each side of the fence pretty even.

If Intel and AMD were not in direct competition, prices for CPUs would be much higher (I'm afraid AMD will soon be unable to compete with intel, though).  The same applies to the GPU market.

Definitely AMD vs Nvidia because it is one of the few competitions that makes significant change happen. Helps the consumers a lot.

once upon a time i would have said Intel vs AMD. But it's been too many years since AMD competed on raw performance. And since sandy bridge even Intel has slowed down the pace of development.

Right now definitely Nvidia vs AMD/ATI. Because they have been going at it for more than a decade and it's still evenly matched, and they still continue to push each other forward and drag the industry forward with them.

Canon vs Nikon. It's the best thing ever to play devils advocate with a photography geek who's locked into one of the two. Then at the end suggest they try pentax or sony instead.
