I'd just stick to the free version. I don't think you'll notice a difference.

I purchased it, 25 bucks for a lifetime version. The main advantage to the paid version is the active scanning. I looked at it this way, only 25 bucks and I prevent malware vs having to rely on the program to scan on request and remove it.

Worth it in my opinion. It has caught trojans that Norton didn't get. Also it barely uses any processing power. norton uses a TON

I'm just reading up on different antivirus threads in hopes of finding the best antivirus.

I've used it for over three years now and, well, I think it works. I haven't had any sort of malware issues, and the website blocker seems to do a good job at steering you away from sketchy mp3 download sites.  No performance impact either; it's run daily at 5PM on my PC since I built it and I forget it's even there.  I'd say it's definitely worth it!

You can get $5 off pretty easily, just do a Google search.  I'm considering getting a second license for my laptop.

80? I'm in. MBAM (free version) is an amazing piece of software. I never looked into the pro version though. I take it the pro version still doesn't replace you antivirus software and you are meant to run both at the same time?
