Youtube 4k still stuttering....

I just watched Linus' latest video "The Road to 4K" and here I am, still wondering why me decently powerfull machine (specs below) still can't smoothly play those 4k web content! It worked some time ago (a year or so) but now I still have these issues:

Chrome plays the video at like...15 fps cheapo anime style.

Internet Explorer plays it somehow smoother but picaso style, like this :

I don't use Firefox at all, just to avoid those epicly annoying flash player instals and updates but it doesn't play it smooth either. Local video players like VLC , CWMP and PotPlayer (my favorite) do play 4k local and even Youtube video content (from url) at desired framerate no problem.

I tried every possible catalyst driver and both flash and html5 versions of youtube webpage... 
Does anybody know how to fix this? I'm sure there is, as there are a lot of AMD folks ot here!

Check your stats and what they show. I can watch it no problem.

I just watched it in 4K and it was buttery smooth 30 fps?

It was also on the rig in my signature so your rig shouldn't be the problem

I can watch it fine when nobody is using the internet, but maybe you can try installing the youtube center addon that automatically sets to a certain resolution and it has also improved the stability of youtube on my setup.

 

To install youtube center you have to install a scripting addon onto your browser (firefox, chrome, opera or maxthon) and from within the script addon you have to install youtube center

For me, 4K video works well in Firefox (30fps) and IE11 (60fps).

I tested it on both: Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 - Core i7 930 (desktop), and Surface Pro 2 (Core i4 4300U, Intel integrated graphics HD4400)
