Any Flight Simmers Here?

Hello All,

 

              I am thinking of building a new PC to run P3D2x, the Titan Z looks awesome, P3D does not utilise SLI so dual 980's are not an option, does anyone use P3D with a Titan Z?

@Richard Lincoln I will point ount right away that while the titan z is a single card, the gpu's on board are still in sli so a single 980 would be your best bet if the game does not support sli. And i play fsx every now and then, but it crashes constantly on my new computer so i dont play it nearly as much as i used to.

I used to fly a lot, right now is a down time for me. By the way, the Titan Z is a dual gpu card, so you'll be wasting a lot of money and blowing a lot of hot air on something slow.

 

Get a 970 or 980 instead.

one 980 s enough for a flight slim, its the cpu where the real physics happen.

i use the flight simulates in the university basement (yeah its great, they all run on the same server so we can do formation flying if we want, or races)

I would love to get into flight sim games but they all look like crap (graphicalls). I suppose you could say I am more into space flight sims though. Elite Dangerous makes me happy but I played a lot of X a while back which are both really similar games.

Thank you very much everyone for your advice, in short FSX is a dinosaur that runs on one core with no official support. However P3D by Lockheed Martin bought the Professional licence from Microsoft and re wrote the SDK among other things to give a 100% more immersive environment, P3d also runs now of all cores so even with my i7 2600k and a GTX560 I achieve 30-40 FPS with scenery add ons+ aircraft +textures + weather.

 

Plus the developer I work for is constantly pushing the boundaries of the simulator.
