Posted November 2, 2014 Author loll do you remember when most people were saying 2 GB VRAM is enough and anything over is overkill ? lol BF4 isn't unplayable because of the VRAM limit I hit, I just have to turn off many filters and it's working but yeah lol So basically, I can still play it on Ultra but I can't use Anti Aliasing. Is that what you mean? I wonder if the game got fixed or is it still crashing every 5 minutes or when a building falls. I am still waiting for somebody to tell me - "It's OK now, go buy it". I think it'd be fine on 4GB VRAM. 2560X1080 isn't a massive leap and I'm using a 3GB VRAM @ 1080p ultra. Posted November 2, 2014 There are worse AA and there are better AA for sure. If there is a bottleneck now with 4GB Vram then in 3 years, even with SLI, it will be just horrible... I think it'd be fine on 4GB VRAM. 2560X1080 isn't a massive leap and I'm using a 3GB VRAM @ 1080p ultra. I will use 2560x1440p and when 4K 120Hz screens appear, I will upgrade my screen. It's not gonna be OK with 4GB if I can't use MFAA (The newest Maxwell technology which is half the performance of x4 MSAA but it's exactly the same visually). Let's just hope that what Linus says, both on WAN show and NCIX daily comes true this month. 8GB cards are really required now, no matter what.
