I seem to be running into issues quite often on my new build. First it was drivers causing freezes, then random BSODs and now its something that I don't know the reason for. I built this system about 2 months ago, got Windows working 1 month ago. Most, if not all, games ran at least 50+ FPS. Battlefield 4, Watch Dogs, Battlefield 3 and others. For example I ran BF3 at about 80-90 FPS, now I'm running it at 50-60. BF4 also ran at 80 FPS and reduced to 50-60 FPS. In fact all my games seem to have a significant performance hit. Ex: 90-100 before, 40-50 now. I did recently install RadeonPro, but uninstalled it later. I noticed after installing it I had performance issues, and I uninstalled it. Issues still persisted. System specs are in my signature.

Any signs of thermal throttling?

My fans get really loud, but thats normal I think, especially during gameplay. My case hasn't been moved or cleaned either. What would be a sign of throttling? As I said, I haven't had these issues since about last week.

That program looks SKETCHY. I'd run a few programs to scan your computer for viruses and malware.

Overheating of components because of most likely dust trapped within the cooling fins causes the components to downclock to lower the heat output.

Run a game for a while, then shut it down and then monitor temps using HWmonitor, or any other thermal monitoring software.

Should I clean it then? The case seems to be relatively dust-free.

Check your clock speeds on Afterburner etc. while gaming. Sounds like thermal throttling.

Idle temps don't really reflect the temps under load. Even if your CPU is 45C, it could go all the way up to 80C because on idle your cooler is actually working as hard as it would under load since there could be dust trapped. So when it's under load, you've already pretty much maxed out the cooling performance of your cooler. Also check once again to make sure your clock speed is stable. It could perhaps affect performance.

This sort of eliminates GPU throttling but a quick check while gaming wouldn't hurt.

Its been at the factory clock ever since I got it, and yes I know idle temps don't reflect the temps that would occur under load.

Oh no I didn't explain myself fully. I edited my post. Sorry :( Anyways, get something like coretemp to record the max temp of your CPU. If it's going above 80C, you should either clean out the dust or perhaps reapply thermal past.

What are your load temps? GPU temp is good at idle, CPU temp is also ok. After 2 months you shouldn't have any sort of dust-related issues yet. I could see loading times being an issue with the hard drive you've chosen (that's really a drive meant for security cameras). But if you see a spike in load temps on your card, it might be an airflow issue.

Do what multiple people have told you and check temps under load. Just from seeing your idle temps on your cpu I'm going to go ahead and suggest that your CPU is throttling itself due to overheating. The recommended operating temp of FX series cpu's are 51c, anything higher and you will start to get throttling of core speeds and errors which is probably what caused the BSOD.

Lauching Photoshop takes forever because of the WD Purple you are using, it is not meant for everyday read tasks.

Then that seems to be the root of your issue then, if your load times are hanging then it is to do with the CPU. Unless you really see a thermal spike under load on the CPU it sounds like something is eating a lot of resources all of a sudden. This can be caused by either a driver conflict or by an excess of background processes.

Pull up task manager and see what is currently running and where it is coming from. Programs that can eat a lot of resources are usually Anti-Virus programs, Updaters, and malware. Do you have an A/V program installed? If so, which program? Did you update any drivers recently?
