Cannot open JPEG's

iMbR3.jpg

Won't open JPEG, that i have only RECENTLY saved. It will open JPEG files that were saved previously. Photoshop wouldn't open them either with: "Could not complete your request because an unkown or invalid JPEG marker type is found."

Try changing it's format to png or jpg. Maybe you have saved it as a .JPEG, but it's actually a different extension

Your files are corrupted. You can try scanning your drive for errors, and hopefully fix the issue. If this happens t files for your OS you could get a corrupted windows, and you would have to reinstall.

How old is your HDD?

Sounds to me a corrupted file, or you changed the file extension.

I highly recommended that you install Microsoft Photo Gallery. It's part of Microsoft Windows Essentials (free):

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows-live/essentials

It is far better. And opens images instantly as well, like the built-in Photo Viewer.

It works in Windows 7 and up.

It is any JPEG that i get from the internet... So unless by coincidence everyone i save is corrupt then?

Photo Gallery can't open them either, tried saving them on Internet Explorer as well as i thought it may be chrome; same problem occurs

I can have a look, if you don't mind. You can PM me if you want to keep it private.

I'll see if I can open it, and what my image software says.

Nah it's not a private image, i was just doing something in Photoshop for my sister. http://wallpapers.omwlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/nature-hd-p.jpg      *Right click, 'Save image as', 'Save as type: JPEG Image'*

Then i cannot open it in any photo viewer or even Photoshop...

It occurs with any JPEG that i save in my browser

On my side, it works perfectly. I did exactly like you said: Right-click > Saved

Everything can open it just fine.

What is your web browser? I am using Firefox.

Google chrome. Interesting... I just tried saving the same image in Internet Explorer and it worked.

Chrome is saving them as a JPEG, internet Explorer saves as JPEG(*.jpg)

it opens fine on my end with chrome.

Try resetting chrome, and removing any plugins you may have,
