Why are people voting 5930k , it's basically the same as 5820k , unless you 4way SLI

I agree. There's no point of getting it unless he will utilize more than 3 graphic cards or w/ raid controller etc. Either 5820k or 5960X. :D

Want to 4-way SLI (NOT CROSSFIRE)? 5930k

5960X > 5930K > 5820K, as Linus said, it's the first time that every CPU on E Platform make sense

8 cores > 6 cores > 6 cores with less PCI-E lanes

@OP, You really need to evaluate your PCIe needs first. x4GPU's vs. 2/3GPU's, any other PCIe devices that you may need, expandability in the future, etc. etc. I'm unaware of any PLX X99 boards so if you know you'll actually need 28+ PCIe lanes in the future, 5930k is the way to go. If you only want 2 GPU's and you'll never go past 28 lanes just get the 5820k.

Hey everyone please vote for which cpu I should buy. I will be using it for video editing and ultra gaming.

Thanks

Wolffangs147

What motherboard do you have? How many GPUs do you have? How many expansion cards do you have (RAID, NIC, sound, etc.)

If you only have two GPUs and a sound card, then the 5820K will be enough for your needs. Even if you add a RAID card, you'll likely have more than enough to ensure that no one component slows down the rest.

If you have GPUs, a NIC and multiple RAID cards, then you might start seeing slowdowns due to insufficient bandwidth.
