16:10 is much less cramped with the extra vertical space. It's a shame that it's usually much more expensive for the pixel increase.

This belongs in the Displays section. I'm moving the thread. Please don't just dump threads into General Discussion.

This is the main reason I don't own a nice one. Dell's 24" 1080P with tiny bezels is about $100 less then the 1200P model, and as such rather unfeasible.

Love 16:10, much better. Don't know why people make such a big deal about black bars.  It's hardly noticeable unless you are staring at them just to check if they are there or not.

I wish 16:10 weren't so much more expensive, I'd take it over 16:9. Black bars are negligible, don't really see why it bothers anyone, I lived with black bars for 5+ years.

<3 16:10 More pixels and I don't like the widescreen feel sadly they don't make it anymore but when I was a kid I had a 16:11 CRT and loved it  16:9 just seems cropped and stretched to me I don't particularly like it...  16:10 is just a perfect compromise and the extra pixels can account for a HUD in a game which is nice...and have as many pixels left over as some other people have in total... sadly it's more expensive so when I upgrade my monitor I'ma lose 16:10 goodness...

16:10 feels way more natural to me, documents fit better, nicer for stuff like coding with the extra vertical space and games are fantastic on it, movies are neither here nor there because most are 21:9 and vs. 16:9 the horizontal loss per diagonal inch is ~2.7% while the vertical gain is ~8.1%, price is the only sticking point for me, sadly it seems to be a dying breed which means it ain't going to get cheaper :(... the display industry seems to make all the wrong decisions.

21:9 > 16:10 > 16:9 > 4:3 IMO.

I was sad when mine died a few years back :~(
