Does anybody else hate it when companies hire people that dont know anything about their product to show off stuff in videos and/or conventions?

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Yes, of course. I usually ask them something really simple about the products about their advertised products and watch the WUTIFUK IS HE TALKING ABOUT!? face take place.

I think it actually gives a false impression of the audience to people that the product isn't actually aimed at. Especially gamer booths. I don't want to be labelled a prepubescent kid who only likes or becomes interested in something because "BOOOOOOOOBS". It's rather degrading to those that are legitimately interested in the product.

Yes and No. I hate when they don't know anything about the product. But when they know their product it's cool.

It can be very annoying, because when you see things like the CES footage being shown on BBC news for example, and they show these booth babes, most people get the wrong impression of the types of people who go to these events. 

However, they can be quite good for advertising. If they just keep their mouths shut. Because the majority of them know diddly squat about what they're there for.

Depends, if they are just there for promotion like at EGX there were some amazingly gorgeous ones handing out free shirts and making sure the queues kept moving, and drew people in to play, I dont mind that at all (objectifying women aside)

 

The issue is when they are hired to tell you about a product and have no idea about it, that I do not agree with

it's basically advertising, they know the power of boners, they harness that power by putting an attractive target to draw potential customers into their booth.

 

I suppose if the women are willing it's just another job.

 

I would prefer to have people who actually know what's going on show me the product, no matter the gender or dress.

 

If a "booth babe" know's about the product, by all means I'm fine with it.
