What would you guys recommend for someone looking to get into the computer science field in the future? What would be a good place to start? Raspberry Pi, buy Unreal engine and watch tutorials online, or try and find some programming / design classes?

Pick a language and start learning it. I think many would recommend C++ for a first language, though I am not an expert by any means. There are plenty of tutorials online, and even a great online compiler, here:

Tea, Metal, and poorly written code.

I would say one of the best introductory things I have seen was Barnacules and his CODEgasm videos.  He's got four or five up now, and it's -really- simple programming, but it's a good start if you can memorize it and learn and he's so far pretty good with his teaching :P

C++ is a great language but not necessarily a good one to start with. Java's compiler is much more friendly and it will still teach you the C syntax. Java is in my opinion the best first language.
