i'm almost certain they are eyes. Greenish eyes to be exact.

I tried to upload a picture of one of my eyes, but I couldn't get a decent picture without showing more of my face than I wish to.

They look slightly turquoisey in colour, with Munsell green closer to the centre and flecks of moss green. This is with my untrained eye what colours they look like they contain, but I'm not exactly good at colours.

They also look misshapen, due to the perspective of the picture you have taken.
