Should i join the master race?

Yes, i'm currently a console infidel. And to be honest, it sucks. PS4, possibly the worst thing i've ever owned, apart from the controller. I've always been a console gamer, just because i've never really had a need for 1080p ultra graphics and so on; it's just never really bothered me.

Until now. I'm thinking about getting rid of my current build and my ps4 and building a gaming system, if i were to do so this would most likely be the build or something similar: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/XdjTFT

The only thing really stopping me is, is it worth it? For me it makes sense to just have one PC, rather than a PC and ps4 and have to switch between the two every time i want to play a game; which sometimes stops me playing as much as i like.

In your OPINION, as i know 99% of you are PC gamers, just how much of an improvement is it?

Welcome to the forum! Please remember to follow your topics so you're notified when someone answers ;) in my sig you can find links to the CoC and the forum's F.A.Q. check them out!

Pros of pc gaming:

- much better graphical fidelity and high framerates for a smooth and pleasant gameplay

- cheaper games and no internet sub fee

- keyboard and mouse are better than controllers in almost every possible way, and either way you still get the option to use a controller

- you can upgrade a pc

- you can overclock components

- you can record footage directly on your pc

- more options to speak with your friends over ip

...yeah, it's absolutely worth it :D

In your build I'd do the following: get rid of the 780ti in favour of a 970, it's already overkill for 1080p; get a 4690k with a decent cooler (like a cooler master hyper 212 evo) and a z97 motherboard so you can overclock it (overclocking is free performance, always worth it in moderate quantities). You forgot the case (I suggest a cooler master haf 912) and absolutely get an ssd, it's 1000% worth it (get something like a 240gb samsung 840 evo).

edit

basically @SAV1OUR 's build

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

"Should i join the master race?"

Without a doubt.

The real question is how much can you spend on a pc? Are you ready to jump all in? If so, sell that plebstation4 and upgrade your build to include an SSD, you'll appreciate it right away.

But this (although any i5+GTX9xx) will shred PS4 to pieces in terms of performance. Hell, you'll get similar FPS to PS4 but on 4K instead of 1080p.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

Where can i find the application form?

we no longer use application forms. those are too old school, we're trying to go paperless.

heres how to join the pc master race, quick and easy. it's simple;

grab your current console, and five of its controllers, place in a pentagram. IMPORTANT: console must be virgin, no games played yet.

buy a large amount of led candles, gotta go green.

last step: you gotta set up a sweet ass laser light show with your new pc before you cut open the console, remove its APU and burn it. be sure to catch that on video. ;)

wait two to three bisiness days and your i5, 980, and sin-less heart will arrive.

CONGLATULATIONS you've just joined the pc master race!!
