I have a mini ITX gaming PC and am currently shopping for "the right" GTX 970. I would totally rock a 970 with the 980 reference cooler. It's the best reference blower-style cooler on the market and on the 980 has been shown to be pretty quiet, plus I'd rather have the warm air exhausting my case instead of heating up the inside. 

 

I'd prefer if it were an SC, SSC or FTW edition, not just a plain base 970 though.

EVGA makes a 970 SC with their blower style cooler. From what I have heard its actually a pretty beast of a card. The card says it will boost to 1279mhz but I've seen it go well above 1300mhz on its own without any over volting. The cooler does a pretty good job keeping it below 70c on load at 80% fan speed.

Yep, I've seen them listed. They don't look anywhere near as nice as the 980 reference, but as long as it gets the job done. Curious how loud that blower is though...

 

I keep being drawn back to the MSI gaming and probably will end up pulling the trigger on one of them... that is if I can find one available somewhere... :P
