1394 support for 2014 motherboards?

zeblazed

I need a little help on picking out a motherboard that supports 1394 input , 64 gb of ram and lots of usb 3.0 ports along with fast boot.

So far the only one that I'm able to find is this one but I'm not sure if I should get one.

Is there any other motherboards that are available that are newer or better that support the specs above?

IEEE 1394 is old, no one uses it, so they don't put it on the board.

Edit: Just buy a IEEE 1394 PCI-e Card.

@zeblazed welcome to the forum! Please remember to follow your topics so you're notified when someone answers ;) in my sig you can find links to the CoC and the forum's F.A.Q. check them out!

Unfortunately I think that's the most recent high end board to support it. If you want something more recent, get an asus X99-A (lots of usb 3.0!) and use a pci-e expansion card for firewire.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Thank you I didn't think that would be an option. But I guess it does exist.

What is the best motherboard available currently? in terms of expansion and features

I would say the Asus Rampage V Extreme/ Asus X99 Deluxe, but that depends on your budget.
