No, when talking about a length of time the correct word is 'throughout' not through.

 

For example, "i was tired throughout the day"

Not "i was tired through the day"

 

Maybe its different where you live, but this is how it works in canada :)

Through the years is kind of a saying. Not sure if it's entirely correct in english but people say it all the time.
