Inconvenience? I think the word you're looking for is 'Feature'. Now a portion of the graphics card is able to get the freshest air possible.

I have a gtx 770 DCUII and 2x gtx 780ti classified ACX. Both coolers are quiet at idle and loud as hell under full load. Air coolers are not made to be silent, that's what water blocks are for.

What ever. The fan is "fancy" thats it.

My ACX coolers are fine.

 

It's be significantly quieter and more efficient, while keeping temps lower.

 

It's a pretty big upgrade 4 poll to 6 poll, you can go faster for less power and noise.
