In some games some things load during gameplay though. In most cases, though, it won't make a difference.

I guess in open world type games, first one that comes to mind is The Crew, but games where the level loads before hand it won't.

Basically what people are saying in this thread is SSDs are a waste for gaming.  I have said this for a long, long time and I refuse to buy one considering really all I do with the pc is surf the net and game.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

You won't be the 1st person loaded into a BF4 game anymore.

With many games there are respawn timers so it doesn't make much of a difference.  SSDs are a waste for a gaming rig.

I find mine to be very useful. I can get on the internet/load a game right at startup. With an HDD, I would have to wait for it to catch up.

Actually I can.  They do very little in terms of giving anything important to gamers.

So the only thing a gamer does is log in,log out,log in,log out of the game and nothing else? Pls.

Doesn't a gamer want to install anything in the computer? Doesn't a gamer want a fast boot instead of waiting 2 freaking minutes?Doesn't a gamer use heavy programs instead of just play games? This can keep going and going.

Seems like you've never experienced one so it's kinda acceptable to say those words. But don't say that SSDs are a waste LMAO.

I hate it when someone takes my helicopter that I've been wanting to fly the entire match. :(

Everyone hatin' on SSDs and how they are not good for gamers obviously never had one :P :P :P

Its great to have it, regardless of workload. As long as you can fit it to the budget, you should get it.
