WTB new monitor, should i ?

Greetings, new on forum and i want to address a question.

 

I currently have a Samsung Syncmaster 2333HD LCD and i'm looking to replace it with an LED monitor.

 

My question is, is it worth it switch to something like a LED BenQ GL2460 ? This is the price range i currently have.

 

Regarding TN, IPS, etc. i didn't have the chance to test an IPS or an LED TN, read that ghosting is annoying for IPS.

 

What i do with my PC is mostly watching movies, tv shows, web-browsing but also a fair deal of gaming and video-editing.

 

The thing that started to annoy me it's the low contrast that causes me not to be able to see in dark scenarios in both games and movies alike. Last season of GoT was a pain to watch

 

Does a TN LED have the same problem with the dark areas ?
