Good try I am thinking about getting it from here. I have had good experiences with this website so far.

If I play mmorpgs in the future it will be free to play ArcheAge and possibly WOW when the new expansion comes out but I am not sure I am ready to pay a sub again and with that put enough time into the game to make it worthwhile.  As for ESO I had wanted to play it but that requires a sub too and there is no way I will be as excited to play it as a new WOW expansion so no sorry OP.

Understandable. I wouldn't of thought to try it out until I found out that I could get it for $20 instead of $50 USD.

I've played the game since launch and from my perspective, there will likely be a F2P announcement within 6 months time. They already laid off some people from the studio.

 

Not saying it's a bad game, it's just they built it on a horrible engine; every time they fix a bug it breaks something else. Every. Single. Time. That's the main thing that bothers me. But because of that they're losing many subs.

I don't see ESO dying if it goes F2P to be honest. AngryJoe said it best when he said ESO would be the best F2P MMO available, if it was actually F2P.

 

I want the model Guild Wars 2 does (cosmetic items and things like that). I'd buy the shit out of some armor skins.

Yeah they improved an ass-ton of things. They still need to improve a lot, especially the combat system. It feels clunky when you're doing melee. Ranged is 'okay', but melee is just bad, haha. It doesn't have any impact at all when you swing a sword/dagger/mace/whatever else.

 

The instances have all been fixed as far as I know. They revamped nearly every dungeon (including solo dungeons I think) to have a different layout, since some of them were blatant copies. They're also putting in another animation engine which I think should have been in the game to begin with.

 

I don't know the exact numbers, I just know during prime-time there are four-five Cyrodiil PvP servers filled up, and I think there can be a little over 1000 players on each server.

 

When I was out and about in the other zones for PvE though, I noticed I saw the same players for certain tasks everyone does (grinding levels since quest experience is a joke, for example). So I think their sub count dramatically dropped a few months after launch, which doesn't surprise me.

 

But to reiterate something else I said, most of the shit they're adding into the game now should have been in it at launch. I don't see how they didn't have all of this ready unless they were being cheap asses on the development team (which is likely).

Flyff went for years, dies about a year or 2 ago. RIP

Fiesta online is still going strong, not as busy as it used to be sure, but tons of people still play it.
