Hello,

Greetings,

I am not able to connect my pc to the internet using ethernet but wifi on the pc works fine.I tried multiple cables but nothing changed then I plugged in my laptop to the same cable and it worked perfectly,so is my pc's ethernet port dead? or is there another problem?

Thank you.

try reinstalling the drivers. Usually this fixes the problem.

Try downloading the LAN drivers from the motherboard page.

Make sure your motherboard has the latest LAN drivers installed, and make sure your ethernet port is enabled under control panel > hardware and sound > devices and printers > device manager

There you should find your network controller, and make sure its enabled.

Have you verified the port on the other end?

Like he said it could be the ethernet ports on your Modem/Router make sure that you have a solid or blinking green light on the back if your Modem/Router had LED'S if not then i would recommend trying to test your PC with another Modem/Router to see if the problem still exists. If it's not that then we have to look at the possibility of it being a network issue with port's
