Intel or AMD CPU?

Honestly,  I have no intention of a "war" starting.  I was just curious of what other member prefer and why.

it is simple for me, intel if you have the money, amd if you are on a tighter budget

I understand that on my low end systems I should go with an AMD CPU, but I like the stability of intel and the low heat output, allowing systems with lower airflow.

After having 3 AMD and 3intel cpu's over the years both have their advantages, for me tho intel appear to stand the challenge of time and use better.

im a AMD cpu fanboy, but if your rendering/high preformance, get a Intel, if your gaming, a AMD-FX-4300 or maybe a 6300 for 6 core preformace would be great, and AMD has some 8 core stuff for only $199 that will have about the same rendering preformance as a 4th gen i5
