THIS CPU IS GOD FOR A 4 YEAR CPU, it just put the 4770k in the bin

daaaaaaaaaaaang 5.2ghz in a xeon

That's not super uncommon even on SB/IB Xeons in the 6-core range. Overclocking Xeons is fun, and all of them have soldered IHS, even the 115x ones do I think.

the only issues with the CPU is the actual motherboard x58 lacks a lot of newer features some don't even support Trim on SSDs

What board somehow blocks trim commands (I'm guessing none), it isn't controller dependent...

A note to everybody, the price dropped on this chip you can get it brand new for $99 now, down from $120. The chips are running out super fast so I recommend jumping on the deal if you have an X58 board to match.
Intel has dropped the price to allow retailers to clear stocks, once they're gone they're not coming back !

the marvel 9128 controller did not support trim and on a lot of boards it was the only available 6GBs port.  intel was always 3GBs have you used X58 before?

Eh from my experience with still using a 3960X, there comes a point when the single-core performance is good *enough* that anything better wouldn't be utilised anyway. Tomb Raider 2013 is so light on the CPU, for instance, that last time I played it my CPU downclocked itself to just under 2 GHz. In theory a 4770K could perform better with a single core. Would it in practice? Not really in games, they just don't need that much power.
