mSATA to SATA or mSATA to PCIe

Hi

 

I have a quick question for a mate. He has a Samsung EVO 840 1TB mSATA SSD and wants to use it on a non-mSATA mobo.

What would be the best solution to keep it at SATA III speeds, an mSATA PCIe card or an mSATA to SATA adapter?

I recommended him to go with the adapter but if anyone knows a good PCIe card or why it would be better please share your thoughts.

 

Examples and where to buy it in the UK would be very appreciated.

Yep, the adapter would also be my choice as what he has now is a mSATA PCIe x1 card which wouldn't give him the SATA III speeds if he was to use it
