Java 8 is Sketchy, I would recommend Java 7 Build 67, Note: I play with about 50+ Mods, min most of the time.

If you have a Graphics card try checking the Control panel and seeing if anything is set up in a weird way for minecraft.

Looks like chunk load lag to me. Sort of the reason I stopped playing minecraft. Doesn't matter how good your system is, it never gets as good as it should be, at least as far as render distance gets. Even with my 4690k I still got chunk load lag, even on ssp. without mods, turned everything down and maxed out render distance, still disappointed.

 

Edit: Damnit, there was a game on here that I saw that's on steam early access or something, looks like minecraft but like, a gillion times better looking. Can anyone remember the name of it?

2 chunks? no offense but my 9250 can do stable 75 FPS at that...

Try with java 7, if you're using mods run a clean version.

Also funny artifacts... are you using beta GPU drivers?

It's not rust. It actually looks alot like minecraft, but instead of being blocks you can see where blocks "Deform" downwards to connect smoothly to other blocks. I can't for the life of me remember what game it is, but I know I REALLY want it because it looks amazingly good compared to minecraft.

i would try deleting all java versions from your PC and installing 64 bit java 7 update 55

then delete the .minecraft folder and redownload the launcher for the game.

install 1.7.10 and see if it still happens
