Dual Graphics with Kaveri and 750 ti?

I intend to build a pc using Kaveri soon, and due to my budget, do not intend to buy a discreet graphics card until a few months after I build it (I intend to buy the parts around Sep. 20 and the graphics card around Christmas).  And I was wondering if I would be able to do dual graphics with the AMD A10 7850K and the Nvidia 750 ti.  Any feedback is appreciated, but I would like a definitive answer if possible.

If you mean to have the onboard gpu and the discrete card work together, then no, that wont work as they are different companies. Though you can use an amd processor and nvidia graphics card in the same system, they just wont work together in dual graphics.

no

and hybrid crossfire setups are really weak. you're better off getting an Athlon and a R9 270 or something.

if you insist on trying to do what you're doing now, the only "dual graphics" option you have is hybrid CF with a R7 250

Plain and simple, no. You need an R7 240 or R7 250 to do dual graphics with the A10 7850K.

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

No. If you're going to get discrete graphics later don't get the 7850K. Not worth it for the money unless you're forever running integrated

Get a 750K and find some cheap used video card online like an 8800GT for the meantime. This will give you more gaming performance then a 7850K anyways.

you could find something better than that for a cheap price. I've seen 250x's for like 60-80$

It's also DX10 only and is really slow.

Chances are it's more worth the price when OP just wants to use it for three months until Christmas, saving him some money that can be put towards getting a better GPU later on.

8800GT can drive 3 monitors ? this is news to me. Pretty sure that the 88xx series cards can only drive 2 monitors max from one card.

@NK91799 if you plan to run a discrete graphics card, don't bother with a A10-7850K. Instead, go with a "dedicated" CPU, and use an expensive graphics card (let it be used or new) as a temporary solution.

What does 3 monitors have anything to do with this

The 7850k costs $169.  You could get an AM3+ build by starting with an FX-6300 for $109 and then just get the cheapest gpu you can find.  That way, you can upgrade later to a really nice graphics card that WILL allow you to use it affectively.  And you could upgrade to an FX8350 or the new 8370 later.

I was in the same boat..  I wouldnt bother with the Kaveri unless it's enough for you and you dont want to upgrade later.  You can use a better platform to upgrade cpu and gpu later, or you can be stuck with a limited platform.

CPU: Intel i5 4690k   GPU: MSI GTX 960 OC   PSU: Seasonic 750 Watt   Mobo: MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition   Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro White   RAM: HyperX Fury 8Gb   SSD: Intel 730 240Gb   HDD: WD Black 1Tb   Cooler: Phanteks TC12DX   Mouse: Mionix Naos 7000   Keyboard: Ducky Shine 3   Monitor: Acer IPS 24" (x2)
