Looking for good torrent client

Ssoele

So I am looking for a good torrent client, I have been using Bittorrent for a long time, but it keeps crashing when I add multiple 10GB+ files.

The requirements are:

  • Runs on Windows
  • Can open magnet links
  • Can handle a couple of 100 ACTIVE torrents
  • Can handle a couple of 1000 active connections
  • Can handle very large torrents (100GB+)
  • Preferably 64-bit
  • Stable

If anyone knows a good client, please let me know :D

That sounds like industrial-grade programs.

Do you even compute power bro?

Yes, I even compute power, it's not the hardware that can't handle it.

uTorrent?

It's basically the same as BitTorrent these days, it has the same problems.

Although I personally use uTorrent although I think something like Tixati is a good solid alternative. Not entirely sure how well it would deal with large torrent files but it should do just fine.

Deluge works.

The only thing would be better is rtorrent with rutorrent front-end. That can handle a lot more than any other torrent client.

Tixati

I've just tested it out and Tixati stats lagging when you add a single 20GB torrent. It also only supports 500 incoming/outgoing connections.

I've used Deluge before and found it rather unstable (the GUI at least).

ruTorrent is a no-go as it is a web interface. I'm looking for a desktop application.

You have problems with older versions too?

uTorrent 1.6.1

uTorrent 2.2.0 Build 23071

uTorrent 2.2.1 Build 25154

uTorrent 3.2.2 Build 28500

Yeah, I hate these newer versions...

How long ago?

Current version is very good, although I have it running in classic mode.
