So this morning when I woke up, I went to my computer ant tried to turn it on, but it wouldn't turn on so I did some troubleshooting, using my tablet and i deduced the final issue. My i7 4770k has died. I tested it on my friends computer just to check and its true. So I have moved my in my G630 and its corresponding ASUS board in with my 780ti. now I need a new CPU and probably a new MoBo due to some past wear and tear. so wish me luck getting some good stuff.

Wtf how did you manage to do that?

Did you push 1.5v through it or something?

Also, are you sure your friend's motherboard is compatible with it?

I'm betting a board defect did this and two bridges got linked. It's the only explanation. Even with 1.58 volts my Dad's 4790k didn't up and die (it runs at stock speeds now and is undervolted after we got 5.14 GHz).
