Posted August 21, 2014 http://www.cnet.com/news/minecraft-players-build-working-hard-drives/ Two such users have now revealed functioning hard drives built inside Minecraft that can read and write data. The first, created by Reddit and Imgur user smellystring can store 1KB of data, while a second, larger unit created by The0JJ can store 4KB of data. So apparently the future plans are to create a computer within Minecraft Really cool what Computer Scientists do in their free time 5.1GHz 4770k My Specs Intel i7-4770K @ 4.7GHz | Corsair H105 w/ SP120 | Asus Gene VI | 32GB Corsair Vengeance LP | 2x GTX 780Ti| Corsair 750D | OCZ Agility 3 | Samsung 840/850 | Sandisk SSD | 3TB WD RED | Seagate Barracuda 2TB | Corsair RM850 | ASUS PB278Q | SyncMaster 2370HD | SyncMaster P2450
 Posted August 21, 2014 Interesting, I can see how they use the redstone to make logic gates and store data. Interesting to see how they get MC to render far enough for it all to work though. Posted August 21, 2014 Downloading more RAM so I can do this... Just kidding, I get it, but not quite as amazing as the title makes out. Great educational tool though, I have faith in future generations.
