No not the best. Its the best common CPU out their. You will see a lot of builds with it. You aren't going to see a lot of people with $500 or $1000 i7s or $2500 xeons. But this is a great CPU don't get me wrong. This or the i5 4690k are what you use for a high end gaming PC

UNLESS you need more than 4 cores then yes it is the best in the Intel stable.

I was just curious because its talked about very highly... But while im asking its good for multi tasking or gaming correct?

It's good for multi tasking and gaming. But the difference between i5 and i7 is hyper threading. Hyper threading won't benefit that much in muti tasking and gaming, it will mostly benefit in rendering, 3d modeling, photoshop.

The best CPU in the world is obviously the AMD FX 9590. These Intel fanchildren are too stupid to know a good CPU when they see it.

Edit: See this is funny because I've never built with an AMD anything, I've been ragging on AMD's business strategies all weak, and I have an I7 4960X in my home computer.

Basicly there is no such of a "best" cpu.

Because it all depends on your personal usage, some cpu´s have an advantage over another, in some "certain" tasks..

So yeah in other words, If a CPU is the best for me.

That does not mean, that its also the best for you..

Some people still not allways seem to realise that ;)
