Intel Bulk Coolers?

This may seem like a really stupid question, but does anyone know where one could pick up a bunch of discarded Intel 115x stock coolers? Aluminum is worth a lot pure. A friend of mine working at a junk yard found a bunch all together bent up and wrecked and told me "These people are crazy. Foundries will pay you for these because they're already more pure than the ore they process."

 

Apparently he made north of $500 by just selling scrap aluminum from CPU coolers and other things over the course of a couple days.

Umm i have a box in my garage which is overflowing with stock intel and amd coolers, at a glance id estimate 60-70 coolers in that box.

 

I have so many in case peoples peoples break, i take the coolers from the old pcs.

Thinking about taking one of my CPU's and making it into a small file server, and take another and make it a rig just for my grandma to use PrintMaster with. Depends on the cash flow.

Aww. I have one of those. Also have one that's just as beefy as the one AMD throws in with their FX 8320... All copper.

I'm using mine to cool a 2.4GHz Northwood (HT, thank god). The fan hardly ever has to leave its "idle" state. And with my old 2.8GHz Prescott (no HT) that thing would ramp up after being idle for 5 minutes when you open Firefox (I would often leave it for 5 minutes to get food or something then fire Firefox up when I got back).

Mine had trouble taming the 2.4GHz HT Northwood that I use with the massive copper one.

unless this is some godly aluminium it will likely go molten in a few seconds and there is a chance of something breaking after that

How big is the box? I live in America. I can deal with it. I'm expecting a Mazda engine to come soon, so yeah.

im in the uk, ill have to ask my parents, its a height is 50cm and width is 80cm. id take a picture but the light broke in the garage so its pitch black, we need torches, as we are a messy family there is crap all over the garage.
