4K gaming build

ItxCrow

Hey I need a new pc,

1. Budget & Location

my budget is 5000$ MAX. I live in the netherlands and I'd like a pcpartpicker.com link :)

2. Aim

Gaming, video editing and some basic school stuff.

3. Monitors

As the title states, I'd like to be able to game on 4k monitor. Only 1.

4. Peripherals

Mice Keyboard Headset and 4k Monitor needs to be in the build link.

5. Why are you upgrading?

The pc I have now, can't even run Youtube videos in 720p.

Hope you guys can help me!

Thanks.

Sorting a build now. Are you sure you want to go 4k? Even like dual Titan Z cannot run some AAA games at 60fps 4k... Just a word of warning. But If you are determined to go 4k then we can do our best

I'm sure.

I guess you can always turn down settings or res down to 1440p if you need to - I'm guessing you want 4K for productivity as well (when you mentioned school work that's what came into my mind).

I'd go for 2 Titan blacks instead, because they have more memory and 4K really benefits from more memory (4gb is not enough)

OP if you're going to be building a high end machine like this with that high of a budget, I'd really recommend getting a custom loop.

4GB is plenty for 4k. 3Gb is the 'cutting it close' range. 780ti's still run fine at 4k even with their little memory. Even then, you could get quad-fire 290xs for the price of two Titan Blacks, and 290xs core for core compete with the titan at 4k, so its just an overpriced waste of money.

That was my justification too, titan blacks are expensive unless the OP needs the computer performance, It would still be an idea but for gaming and video editing triple/quad 290x would be better investment

Nice :) Though you could still do better, as there is like $1300 budget left :) why not quad 290x

its propably the best option for 4k,

but im not sure 4k would be that enjoyable when not on 60 fps

Get two monitors, a 4k monitor and an asus 1440p 144 hz monitor. Use 4k for school work and whatnot and 1440p for gaming. Trust me you'll enjoy that a ton more.

There is also another one above, decided to swap for 780tis for their superior performance, better cooling, lower power requirements and CUDA for editing

Personally I prefer IPS , but you COULD get the Asus 144hz 1440p I just dont like the crap viewing angles which matter on large displays
