Yes, the R34 is much nicer. It has street cred and history. The Nissan GTR is an engineers wet dream while the Skyline GTRs it was based off of had something special.

A miata is 2 grand, put a Terminator 4.6l supercharged V8 in it, all aluminum block and head, 500hp stock with tune and pulley, which would go for about 8 grand, T45 5 speed tranny or T56 6 speed. Wiring and swap kit another 2 grand, and factor in parasitic expenses another 5 grand.

 

So for less than 20K you have a monster that is still well balanced and.... Have you ever heard a 32 valve V8 ford? The exhaust note alone made be buy another Mustang Cobra after my first one got totaled. Shit eating grin guaranteed, plus no one expects it a little miata.

That's $20,000 invested in a car that's worth $2000. :unsure: The Terminator engine is iron block, so you're probably looking closer to 55/45 distribution in a short wheelbase. You'd essentially be swapping everything and keeping only the body.

 

I'd rather just get a Corvette, or a Cobra, or a Factory Five kit car with that kind of disposable money and those plans. The Miata's not that good.
