Here's a bit of advice, unless you regularly get static shocks while in the room, then you probably don't have to worry about static when working with your computer.

 

A wriststrap will be fine, as will touching a metallic object that is grounded beforehand.

 

And of course don't do anything stupid like rub your feet on a carpet right before touching your computer.

Being naked avoids static buildup from your clothes.

 

Although you may end up with a pube or two stuck somewhere inside your computer.
