Has anyone ever tried to paint noctua fans?

I am wondering since I want the blades to be red and the actual holder to be black.

If you've previously won the build off please pm me so we can get something worked out.

I've used plastidip on them but never real paint. ;p

Worked fine for me. 

 

I use to work in the bearing business so I guess what I am asking is if I have to worry about the bearing not being oiled enough?

Well it won't be very possible. Painting over black isn't an easy job to do unless you paint it white over black then whatever colour hue over that white layer. It does hinder the entire silence optimized.

 

Personally even though they're finally brought out their best fans in all black & their other fans in tones of grey. They've done a good job of it.

Painting the material they use which is now a fiberglass polyamide isn't very easy to do. They probably use a very high quality cnc/or inject moulding process

Hmm they have black fans now? I was talking about the ugly brown ones :lol:

can anyone that has experiance with disassembling the Noctua NF-A14/15 fans talk to me lol? im getting the noctua NH-D15 and i want the fans to match my White build, so i want to paint the fans with plasti dip! :) but i want to know from experianced ppl about how to break into the NF-A14/15 fans, was it easy, how did you do it, did it work well, was it easy to reassemble, did it turn out really well when done. i really really want to paint them, but i need to know more about how to disassemble them, disassemble the blades from the ''case'' or blade holder if you will, and if it was easy to reassemble.

 

Please, if anyone here has any experiance with the noctua fans mentioned, please Contact me! Please, i need YOUR help!
