Will 760 run BF4?

RoyB

ATM i'm running a AMD Fx 8350 CPU and a Gtx 650 Graphics card about to update the GPU to duel Gtx 760s. I'm also running 12gb Ram and was wanting to know how well would FX8350+2x GTX 760s run BF4 and stuff like that and how long will it last untill I gotta replace or should I just save up more and get duel 780s?

Oh 1 more questions about going SLI with 2x GPUs what would be better a full or mid case?

Well it WILL run on ultra setting in 1080p but i suggest get two r9 270x to crossfire because you will have Amd mantle support.

I would not suggest crossfire I would suggest either a GTX 770 or an R9 280x perfect fit for 1080p.

i would say get a single 780ti. Single cards are much less headache prone you will be fine running ultra at 1080p in bf4

Case: Phanteks Evolve X with ITX mount  cpu: Ryzen 3900X 4.35ghz all cores Motherboard: MSI X570 Unify gpu: EVGA 1070 SC  psu: Phanteks revolt x 1200W Memory: 64GB Kingston Hyper X oc'd to 3600mhz ssd: Sabrent Rocket 4.0 1TB ITX System CPU: 4670k  Motherboard: some cheap asus h87 Ram: 16gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz

a 780 TI for a single 1080p screen 0_o that is just wasting money unless it's a 144hz screen.

Why not? lol. but yeah in reality, for 1080p a 770 is enough

Yes a 760 will run BF4 just fine. The vram cripple might be an issue when trying to tun high level AA though.

I have the same thing - dual 760's running BF4 maxed out (AA and everything), with FPS averages between 80-120 FPS (map dependent).

Never say it's not broken. Everything is broken. Why? Because everything needs MOAR POWA!

Will a AMD card perform better then a Nvidia card with a AMD MoBo/CPU? I'm new to this stuff lol and if so what is a card around the same proformance with same price

No this is just BS rumor that was been smashed to molecules over and over again.

There are no benefits of running a pure AMD setup, or Intel + NVidia setup. You won't get any "special / exclusive" performance.

Why are you going with two mid-tier cards??

If you have the funds to get dual GTX 760's might as well get a single GTX 780.

More GPU's = more power draw = more heat output.

If you are getting two GTX 760's just purely for bragging rights saying you have two GPU's in your system, then that is a unreasonable decision.

When going with multiple GPU's it's ideal to have a larger case with better system airflow.

It's like have two people in an apartment; would it be better to have them living in a cramped apartment or a more spacious one?

Battlefield 4 Beta Gameplay:

Here's some gameplay of myself when I had my 760. All settings were maxed. Keep in mind this was during the beta, so FPS should be a bit better now. Generally I was 60+.

I was using an 8350 as well, so you're more than OK.

I get 1080p ULTRA 60FPS with the 760.

Most people say they get ultra, & they do: textures, lighting, reflections, shadows. The requirements for a gpu to get ultra on those settings is pretty low gtx660ti or hd7870 (both stock). But I think the level of AA is the only thing people get confused about what is ultra.

  • FXAA - Fast Approximate Anti-Aliasing
  • AA16x- Anti-Aliasing
  • SSAA - Super-Sampling Anti-Aliasing
  • MSAA - Multi-Sample Anti-Aliasing

MSAA above 2-4x kills my cards fps. Fxaa is the worst of them all (people say it blurr's everything). I think motion blurr- blurr's everything lol. But fxaa it has no peformance hit on the gpu, its basicly AA done by the cpu in post. Which is why I like it best.

I get a huge boost always if I go with fxaa. I m the only damn person on the planet that like's nvidia's fxaa technology lol (great for mid-ranged gpu's).  Put everything on ultra with FXAA get 1080p 60+fps/ msaa 2x or none or 16xaa.

FXAA is alright, I don't actually think it blurs. But my goodness does Nvidia's new TXAA blur, I can't stand that stuff. I'm a fan of SSAA and CSAA myself.

I haven't used TXaa yet, gave my old gtx650ti boost to a freind & went back to amd (gotta look it up online). I ve recently become a fan of HDAO for AMD & SSAO DX11 Ambient Occlusion level. Was working through my steam backlog this past summer. Played Far Cry 3 & was really impressed with HDAO & SSAO.  Battlefield is to fast paced for me to really notice jaggy's to much.
