How to activate windows 8.1 from G2a on new PC?

HI, i need some help, windows 8.1 is pretty expensive and off of g2a is only $18 (link: https://www.g2a.com/windows-8-professional-32-64-bit-cd-key-global.html but if im doing a new build and dont have the disc and just the key for it, how do i activate it? i dont understand...or is it just an upgrade if you already have windows.....if not how do you install with just a key code?

Or you could torrent an ISO and use the legit key during the install.

You need the ISO for Windows 8.1 and you need the activation code when you install.

Thanks, but im not wanting to upgrade, i was wondering how to do it if you want to put it on a new PC.

If you have Win7 on a disc/thumb drive you can always use the code to upgrade to 8.1 from the trial of 7 even.

Install windows off microsofts website then install onto computer and enter in G2As code...
