Question about the ads that appear on LTT

Until recently, I never paid attention to the ads which appear on LTT, but I noticed that there are some what questionable ads when considering the purpose of this forum... 

I've been getting the "Asian singles in your area" ad... 

 

Not that I hate it but I was wondering if others were getting similar ads.

The adverts are provided by google based on location, history etc etc etc

 

LTT do not choose the adverts you see

 

Also asian singles are better than taken ones..just saying

Those adds happen on any website, and to anyone. It does not matter what kind of web history you have, most people have gotten it no matter what (unless blocked).

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

this is google adsense AKA google tracks what you look at and puts ads that you will likely click and since your profile pic is inori from Guilty Crown.... yeaaaaa

Maybe things like anime or other asian things can trigger it

I'm getting Newegg and panasonic ads, and I spend a lot of time watching anime, reading manga, and watching porn.

So either I'm just lucky or you people are spending too much time on the porn and dating sites.

I've been getting ads like "eat this and never get sick again" and "dating for men over 40" and "asian singles dating".  Yet, I never search for this stuff.  

 

Ohh Maybe its because I have my search history off in Google, so its just displaying random ones?

All I Google search are recipes (I LOVE cooking) and computer related things (monitors, microphones, etc.)

I'm pretty sure I haven't Google searched porn ... that shit is done incognito or on my phone

Go to Google Dashboard and check what Google thinks your interests are. Even one barely related search will get you those. Somebody else searched for a chocolate gift shop on my PC once and something like "gift items" was on my interest list and I got ads about that

 

But then again even if you opt out of interest based ads and clear your history Google will keep doing it anyway...

You may be doing that incognito but ghat doesnt mean that googles not collecting data on what you did during that incognito sedsion for targeted marketing.

Incognito only prevents from saving your browsing history locally (on your computer). It does not prevent saving your browsing history elsewhere (like for Google due to data collecting)
