What are you powering with this? Can you see any protections claimed on this thing or efficiency ratings?

I'm not familiar with the model (ABT-550MM) .

Reviews of the ABT-750MM  (750w model) say it's a bronze efficiency model made by SuperFlower, which is decent brand. No guarantee the 550w is also Superflower.

Another psu model on techpowerup is made by Sirfa/Sirtec, which is a decent budget OEM manufacturer

Basically knowing they use these OEMs gives me the impression that at the very least they care about their brand and have a bit of care about quality of what they sell.

So with all this information, I wouldn't say outright they're shit because they're not in the tier list,  but also can't say how good they are without seeing reviews or at least pictures of the internals of the power supply.

edit: the ABT-450MM was reviewed by Hardware Secrets, it's a SuperFlower bronze efficiency psu : https://hardwaresecrets.com/kingwin-abt-450mm-power-supply-review/

They got 400+ watts from it with 76% efficiency so it's not absolute shit, but it's a budget low efficiency model.

with limited info so far only sounds like I'd trust it with 300W and less powerful system

I have a TR2 600W but I've heard it's not that great

alot worse than your current psu being a shitty dual rail with only 492w combined on both rails

just keep using your current psu and youll be fine for that kinda low power hardware

it definitely looks like its 10+ years old so a replacement is reccomended but theres nothing wrong with just running the thing into the ground in a few years, youll probably exceed its limits by the time you hardware upgrade anyways so it might not even get the chance to die on you, and keep in mind that buying quality used psus is cheap so if you wanna upgrade to a ~50$ used rm850x or equivalent thats also a valid choice
