to me, there pretty much the same...

 

8 core cpu

8gb ram

hdmi

wifi most likely

 

only differences are the shape, controller, games, xbox one has a hdmi pass thru, as well as other minor features

 

to me, the only real major thing setting the consoles apart is the OS... guess we will see how it all plays out for MS and Sony :P

I think the design of them are pretty cool, but honestly, I will not get one, as my PC's do what they can do and more :)

I think the design of them are pretty cool, but honestly, I will not get one, as PC does what they can do and more :)

 

AFAIK, they're both going to be black boxes, haha

Yep just the same thing as last time with better graphics, better ui and a few more features :D Another several hundred $$$munnies$$$ gone for a box that will be worth nothing a few years down the line.

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

did you see the ps4 teaser of a blurred ps4? because it got unblurred xDD 

 

at the end is where it gets unblurred... oops ps3 :P

Oh man LOL, that teaser has to be one of the worst, teasers I have ever seen, unless you put the video on pause at the right times, you can't even see what they are trying to show off . LMAO, the ending is freaking hilarious :D

The launch did not immpress me.

Kinda "meh"

Nothing that they showed made me want it. Lets wait for the PS4

I use i5-3470, 8GB kingston, SSD + 2x hdd, GTX 970

Honestly...I will probably get both consoles because my friends are split between Xbox and Playstation. I'm one of the only ones in my group that has a gaming PC

will never get an xbox cuz i don't pay to go online. the one also looks crap. and everything i read about it makes me not like it 1 bit.

 

the ps4 looks okish, controller looks a lot better. will depend on the exclusives if im going to buy one. bought my ps3 only for god of war 3... was already a slim version then. so might take a while before i buy ps4.

This is what Xbox One is in a Nutshell to me..A VCR shaped tv port thingy.. I'm from Belgium, so my country and many others from the EU can't even benefit from all those 'TV'-features..But hey, we'll see what E3 brings right?..right?

I don't like the sound of this next generation. All the rumours about not being able to lend a friend games, always-online... It would be taking a step back if this is the case at launch.

How much of an issue do females have with the lack of character options for girls to be modeled in game, whether customization, personal profile avatars and anything generally sticking with male demographics.

 

I'm sure if I was a female gamer I'd be pretty disappointed with the options...

That's a good point you are making here (no I'm not a girl) but it is indeed a good question.

I don't know why no one thinks about that when making the game but seeing this of COD reminds me that BF4 actualy has a female in the trailer, possible playable onlne character? If that were true, that would be an immense game-changer in my eyes, the first ever fps where you could pick the gender. If there is already one out there, please let me know so i don't make a mistake here :p

PS4 is a low-ish end media-centre friendly gaming PC with stated support for 4K content

XBox One is the same thing but with weird DRM restrictions and no access to their existing library of games

Wii U is the same thing if you traveled back in time to 2008 but with Mario/Zelda/Smash/Metroid and with Off-TV play as standard

 

PC + Wii U for me please

I think Sony and Microsoft are going to switch positions in terms of relevancy in the gaming world and Nintendo will die and turn into Sega. The latter has been my prediction for some time now especially considering that I hear none of my newb friends (adults included) talking about the Wii U when it was just the opposite a few years ago.
